What is ISSB?

ISSB is a nonprofit organization that provides enrichment and socialization programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A variety of programs are offer including arts. Cooking, gardening, sports, and more. It has been a haven for many adults who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in such wonderful activities or be part of a supportive community.

It was founded in 1976 by parents who wanted their children with special needs to have the same opportunities as other children. That original vision lives on today at ISSB, where participants enjoy socializing with friends, contributing to their communities, and finding joy in new experiences

How did it come about?

ISSB started as a small idea from two friends who were doing the same thing, but in different places. After realizing they were in an area that didn’t have anything like what they wanted and that there was a lot of demand for what they had to offer, the friends decided to go into business together. They knew it would take a lot of work. But they were also determine to make it happen. It took them a year before their doors opened for the first time and now they’re excited to see how much it has grown!

What is its mission?

ISSB is a nonprofit organization devote to teaching children about the world. It believes that the best way to learn about the world is to experience it firsthand. So they send children on all-expense paid trips abroad and, in order to make these trips possible. They are funded by corporate partners who provide volunteers, financial support, and product donations. ISSB was founded by two educators in 2006. They have since grown into an organization with over 1 million members that have sent over 50 thousand kids abroad on their life-changing journeys.

What can you do?

ISSB needs volunteers to help teach children how to save up for their trip abroad through fundraising activities like car washes or bake sales.

The International Society of Sports Biologists is an international society for sports biologists. ISSB’s goals are to provide a forum for discussion, and presentation. Publication of advances in sports biology research, and stimulate and encourage research in this field. And to provide a source of information on the status and future directions of sports biology.

What are some of its key achievements?

The International School of Science and Business (ISSB) is a one-year school. That provides first-class international education to over 1,000 students from all over the world. It has two campuses:

one in Bangkok, Thailand, and the other in Hong Kong. ISST was founded by Dr. Ronal J. Guzman, a Harvard-educated professor with over 25 years of teaching experience at top universities around the world. Dr. Ronal J. Guzman established it after being frustrated by the lack of affordable quality schools for students wanting to pursue a career in business or science.
